2010 MTYAA Baseball
 
Registration for the 2010 season will begin in December, 2009. In-person registration will be Saturday, January 30th and Saturday, February 6th 2010  - location to be determined.
 
 
Three Ways to Register:
 
1. Register Online (on-line registration will be available starting in December 2009)
2. Send in Registration Form and Birth Certificate
3. Register in person - last Saturday in January, first Saturday in February.

MTYAA Baseball Age Divisions & Fees for 2010
 
Note: Fees are subject to change - indicated fees are for the 2009 season

League age is player's age on April 30, 2010

Players cannot "play up" a division.

(Six year-old players who have played at the Shetland Division

for two years may be allowed to move up to the Pinto Division)

SHETLAND

Ages 4, 5 & 6 (Tee ball) This is our beginning level of play. Players hit a soft core baseball off a rubber tee. Base paths are 50 feet. All players are assigned to a team.
2010 registration fee is $50.

PINTO

Ages 7 & 8 (Coach Pitch) Coaches pitch a soft core baseball to their own team.  Base paths are 50 feet. All players are assigned to a team.

2010 registration fee is $75.

MUSTANG

Ages 9 & 10 Players pitch, lead off and may steal bases. Real baseball rules are introduced at this level of play. Base paths are 60 feet and players pitch from 44 feet. Players participate in a try-out and are drafted onto their teams. All players "make" a team. Mustang division utilizes paid umpires.

2010 registration fee is $110.

BRONCO

Ages 11 & 12 This division is the continued advancement of the Mustang division. Base paths are 70 feet and pitching distance is 48 feet. Players participate in a try-out and drafted onto their teams. All players "make" a team. Bronco division utilizes paid umpires.

2010 registration fee is $140.

PONY  Registration is now Closed.

Ages 13 & 14 The Pony Division is the continued advancement of players from the Bronco division. Base paths are 80 feet and pitching distance is 54 feet. There are two levels of play at Pony.

The Olympic division is a select type of play. Tryouts take place in the summer/fall before the season, where players compete for roster positions. Some travel is required at this level of play.  Olympic Division Teams have already formed. 

 2010 registration fee for Pony Olympic is $350.

The Cascade division is the recreational level of play. Pony Cascade teams play competitive baseball with other Pony teams from throughout the area, thus some travel is required. 

2010 registration fee for Pony Cascade is $250.

 

SANDY KOUFAX

Ages 13 & 14. The Sandy Koufax division is a select  program that is run outside of the league - but with support by MTYAA Baseball.    Base paths are 90 feet and pitching distance is 60 ft. 6 in . Teams are formed in the fall, (with limited availability) and practice indoors during the Winter. Contact the Pony Division Director for additional information.  

2010 Registration Fee is determined by Sandy Koufax baseball.

COLT

Ages 15 & 16 The Colt Division plays on ninety-foot base paths and is the next progression after Pony division. Colt teams have already been formed - with limited availability.  You can contact Division Director Frank Marier to ascertain whether there are any roster spots available
2010 Registration Fee is $300.

MICKEY MANTLE

Ages 15 & 16 The Mickey Mantle Division is a select program that is run outside of the league - but with support by MTYAA Baseball. It is considered a continuation of Sandy Koufax ball. It is played on 90 foot base paths. Mickey Mantle teams have already been formed - with limited availability.  You can contact Division Director Frank Marier to ascertain whether there are any roster spots available.
2010 Registration Fee is determined by Mickey Mantle baseball.

PALOMINO

Ages 17 & 18 & 19. The Palomino Division plays on ninety-foot base paths and is the next progression after Colt division. Palomino teams have already been formed - with limited availability.  You can contact Division Director Frank Marier to ascertain whether there are any roster spots available
2008 Registration Fee is $300.
 
Family Discounts

In order to qualify for the multiple player discount, children must reside in the same household and qualify as a tax exemption.   Households with more than one qualifying child are eligible for the following discounts:

1st child (oldest) pays full rate.

2nd child (next oldest) pays seventy-five percent (75%) of the set rate for that child’s age group.

Remaining children pay fifty percent (50%) of the set rate for their age group

In order to qualify for the Multi-player family discount, all qualifying players must register at the same time and payment made in full at that time.

Need based scholarships are available.  MTYAA Baseball asks that at least 50% of the league fee be paid at the time of registration. Inquire at registration for a scholarship form.
